Anyone took Oath on 21st January, Scarborough office? How long it may take to get citizenship certificate ??

Oath on Jan 13, Scarborough office. Still waiting for the certificate. The status is closed as of Jan 14.
some people who had oath the same day already got theirs.

It is so frustrating to see all this chaos being created from a simple matter. The delivery of certificate should be one of the least difficult task and should have been managed properly but still it’s all over the place and so messy… no one knows what they do and why they do all this to make a huge deal from a non-issue … sad and disappointing

Based on someone else's timeline, the certificate arrives about 2 weeks after the oath. Their application was also showing closed next day but certificate took a little over 2 weeks to arrive. Applicant was in Brampton.

I’m in Mississauga

No matter where you are in GTA, mail services (even regular) are pretty fast and reliable. Mississauga to Mississauga or Mississauga to Brampton would probably be same number of days required for delivery. I think they close application putting in the mailing address and print out the certificate but actually mail it a few days later.

I guess the IRCC torture continues until we receive certificate but anxiety is much abated now. There are several 2018-2019 applicants stuck in process or decision made.
