Totally makes sense. Basically the same thing but at different intervals of the citizenship application processing steps.

Yes so I was in USA and my test invite came in, i emailed IRCC and they replied me back that i can take the online test while in USA. they said there will be question in starting saying "if you are in Canada" ?
They said i can say "Yes" and continue with the online test. so i did. but i guess wait for couple of more days for their reply back.

I am thinking to take the test as it's been over 2 weeks now since we wrote IRCC an email stating we want to take test outside of Canada? Yet, no reply. Our window is form Dec 17 to Jan 6.
If anyone else took test without getting reply from IRCC please let men now your experience and if test was taken, was it validated?
My citizenship application type is a family application. I applied for citizenship with my son. He is 12 years old.
I got the DM on December 15 (old ecas), all are green except ceremony (not started ceremony).
December 15, my son got an update, and Prohibitions is completed. However, my son's application did not get an update on the ecas (ecas show: in progress). You can see below my son's last status of the new tracker system.

Is there a background check for children on the citizenship application? Because I know no need for language skills, physical presence and citizenship test for children on the citizenship process.
What is the exact difference between Background check and Prohibitions? I've taken the test. For our application, test and Background check are set to COMPLETED and Prohibitions is In Progress. What does it mean? Is the eligibility yet to be checked?
On the online tracker it says there is an update in my file on December 30th but nothing has changed unfortunately. The citizenship ceremony still says it's not started.

It was the photocopies of all pages plus in her case the translation of the pages that are not in either french or English (this will include the translator affidative).

Your son's application won't follow the same updates as yours, however, once you become a citizen he will as well, so no worries with the status in eCas or the dashboard!!!
