Yesterday, IRCC requested to tak medical exam for my son.
I have no idea, my wife and son took same day last December 7 but only asked his medical.

He took the test right after and there is no document upload available on my cic account.
So I uploaded through IRCC.
My cic page still showing "Your action is required"

Is that normal?

@Tr2Pr Curse It is a case by case situation. past visa or permit refusal itself can impact PR application based on the grounds/reason why it was refused that is why they ask you to explain if you have had refusals in the past. If it was a case of eligibility then it will have no negative impact on the PR application itself. However, if you fail to inform them/declare said and they find out on their own; the person can be charged for misrepresentation. So the lack full disclosing the fact that one was refused visa or permits under misrepresentation will impacts the PR application.

Well of course if someone is refused for security concerns then they should definitely be worried. But I don't think we have any of those kind in this stream at least because we are all already in Canada. And I'm very sure that refusal for reasons such as lack of ties in your home country or lack of funds Cannot impact your PR application as it is completely irrelevant, you are explicitly applying to stay in Canada permanently. You are completely right about misrepresentation consequences.

But I don't think we have any of those kind in this stream at least because we are all already in Canada. And I'm very sure that refusal for reasons such as lack of ties in your home country or lack of funds Cannot impact your PR application as it is completely irrelevant, you are explicitly applying to stay in Canada permanently. You are completely right about misrepresentation consequences.

So not because the refusal was due to lack of ties to home country or insufficient funds means it is extremely irrelevant the so applicant doesn't need to tell them, no. They must declare it on their own free will to avoid legal consequences. If they fail to inform them and years later after getting citizenship and IRCC finds out that the applicant withheld information from them that could influence its decision the citizenship will be revoked and the person charged. I suggest you read upon misrepresentation under the immigration act!

Of course they need to declare. That's not a secret. The forms ask you if you've been refused or not. You cannot lie to that question! And yes, people had been banned for 5 years because they failed to declare that information correctly.
I suggest you read what I told him: I told him he doesn't need to declare because the refusal happened after the submission date. However, it doesn't harm to declare as chances are next to zero that you are denied Canada pr because of a US or Canada or any other countries visa rejection unless you're rejected because of security concerns.
