I was wondering do they work next week too? I think they should be working untill Wednesday 22nd.

I asked my agent, based on his experience, they still work next week.

thanks! Just to confirm, I do not need to wait for the letter that says I am allowed to work until a specific date? So you mean legally I can work since I already applied and my application is ongoing? Thanks!

Working while waiting for the PGWP

You may be allowed to work full-time in Canada if you are waiting for a decision on your post graduate work permit (PGWP) application and you:

• Had a valid study permit when you submitted your application,
• Completed your program of study, and
• Were eligible to work off campus without a work permit while studying and you didn’t work more hours than you were allowed to.

If these conditions don’t apply to you, you must wait until your work permit arrives to begin your new job. It’s illegal to work in Canada without authorization.

This is what IRCC sent me when I asked them.

My husband applied for the PGWP on 4th Aug 2021, it was approved today.

Wow that's a long time, I applied on May 18th and got approved Aug 9th. Is your file simple and straightforward?

I applied on 17/August outland, it's been more than 16 weeks, and haven’t heard back yet. My country processing time keep decreasing, and I don’t know if this is normal?

Had to pay for Private insurance since its more than 3 months moved to another province from where my school was. Damn IRCC, not to mention another 5 months wait later on to get travel visa.
