And another scenario, let's say at the time I upload picture and address to portal I am still in Canada, and then a few days letter I leave Canada for vacation, later E-CORP is officially issued when I am outside of Canada, can I still come back to Canada? Is this a case that I would have to prepare Permanent Resident Travel Documents in order to come back to Canada?

Hi all, I have questions about travelling outside of Canada while waiting for PR. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My status right now is that I have received an email with a letter titled "IRCC - Permanent Residence Portal (PR Confirmation)." I have replied to the email with the information requested in the letter, and am now waiting for the PR portal to be created.

My questions are:
1. Is this letter I received equivalent to E-COPR?
2. Legally speaking, is my status in Canada updated to PR now? Or does it only update officially after I receive E-CORP (if the answer to my first question is no)?
3. More background info: I applied for IG stream with a work permit, and I am planning on travelling outside of Canada and returning. Can I return to Canada with my current work permit and visa? In another word, does my work permit expires upon receiving this letter or E-CORP? Can I only travel after I receive PR card or have PRTD prepared?

Ultimately, I am looking to understand if I can travel outside of Canada and return based on my current situation. Again, I'd really appreciate if anyone has any insights on this, and am more than happy to fill in more details if needed.

Hey, does anyone have an idea or reply to this message… i applied as IG on TR to PR and I uploaded my contract that my manager created and not the HR. Should i proceed my application? Or do i get refused? I heard that it should be approved and signed by the HR not my boss

about PR card application Link, could you tell me where you found it? does IRCC send you an email about PR card link or you can find it in your IRCC account? I got my ECOPR for three weeks but no any updates about PR CARD. I don't know whether they mailed it or not.

2. Fill in the info based on your eCoPR
3. Your program should be permanent resident card
4. It should be easier if u use UCI and family name to link
5. BTW, fill in town of birth based on eCoPR.

Apply for PR card means go back to GCKey, and link to PR card application (a file which is automated create by IRCC).

that's ok and thanks for the reply. I only asked because i did not have to go through this. after i uploaded my picture and submitted my address in the PR portal, my picture got approved after like 2 weeks and then i got my PR card the following week(which was just on Tuesday)

No it’s not just one person. Several people are receiving from 6pm. By the 14th you will hear much more.
