I am planning to apply for visitor visa. Am confused whether to go with Gckey or new portal.

I read your comments in some other thread that your visitor was rejected recently. Could you please share your application detail and timeline!
What was the reason for refusal?

How much funds are advisable as proof of financial support, also how much funds should my parents have in their account for a visitor visa.
My dad has a job back home and they have their own house.
Also, will liquidating FD’s recently seem as a red flag in bank statements.
I also transferred amount from my chequings to saving to show up.
Will that also be a red flag
Please advise.

Hi all,
My parents submitted visit visa app via GC-key on July 6, biometrics completed on July 7 in USA (visiting US on B1/B2). We mentioned the current residence as India. But am not sure if it’s correct. Should we use US, as they are currently in US?

I am planning to re-apply for my parents visit visa using new portal. should I still quote the current residence as India? Or should I be using US ? Does this decide which visa office processes the application?

Hello, I just received an email from the immig asking me to pay the biometrics again. I have already completed my biometrics last March 5, 2021, and from my understanding, they are valid for 10 years. My biometrics are not linked to my second application yet and they gave me a different UCI. (not the ones that I received during my first application and which I included in the documents I submitted in my second application).

Has anyone else experienced this?

Timeline is as follows:
1st TRV app: March 2, 2021 (gckey)
Biometrics completed: March 5, 2021
2nd TRV app: Sept 18, 2021 (gckey)

Decision: Waiting, nothing changed in my gckey account other than they ask me to pay biometrics again

As is, what will you enter for passport issue/expiry date for old visa or will you ignore US visa details
