We need to submit separate form for each passport. Kid's passport will also be processed as per premium lounge timeline
Also I have heard that due to Covid restrictions, most of the people opted for premium lounge to get the process done faster. Hence, currently more people are in premium queue and less people are there in normal queue. Due to this, the normal service passports are getting stamped much faster than that of premium

Other than the SMS alerts, is there any way to track our passports once its submitted to VFS/ IRCC for stamping?
Once you land in Canada, at the airport itself immigration officers will ask few questions. Once they are satisfied with your answers, they will handover your work permit to you there itself
I had my biometric done on 26th August. Still waiting for PPR. People with biometric on 20th August have received till last Sunday. So may be count and add days from there to get your tentative date.
VFS tracking portal and Email are the other sources. But again, email and sms will be triggered at the same time, with same content. VFS tracking portal will also show the same message
