GC in 8 years? Are you out of your mind? For Indian nationals GC is 35-40 years

Was speaking of mainland Chinese born applicants. I certainly know the grave situation of average Indians.

Not really no. CN and IN aren't grouped together. They have their respective queues. 5-6 years ago CN EB2/3 class applicants take 3 yr max to complete the wait. Now the time has doubled...

I know they are not. GC is country capped. I dont think it is 3-6 years for chinese.

Well, if it gets any longer than that (say 8-10yrs) I bet more than half of those Chinese waiting in line will insta forfeit...The cost would have been too much for them.

man. listen . HOw would cost be too much for them? You need to be employed right? Many of them even buy PR through investment (500k USD). That's not too much for tech workers.

I'm saying the opportunity / time cost. Not anyone can afford wasting their golden years in foreign countries doing (rather) entry level jobs. (Yes one in the tech sector pays great but believe me a lot of Chinese think farther than that. Many don't want to be constrained by work visas.)

Also the investment track is long dead. I believe the wait already exceeded 10 yrs since 2015 and the backlog doesn't progress linearly.

Thanks man, but I guess we were discussing about the intent to emigrate? That would take a large sample survey from all social classes to find out.

It's now 900k and just processing that initial EB5 application takes 3+ years nowadays and again, there is a country cap on that which the Chinese have already hit.

Even EB 5 route for Chinese has a 10 year queue. Go figure.
