Not sure why they verify it usually along with language/physcial presence. these both are entirely separate from prohibitions. They should have combined prohibitions with background check as they are relevant. Its actually weird that they set "Prohibitions" to completed before Physical presence.
Please post an update when you see Physical presence set to "Completed" on the dashboard.
Good luck!
Prohibitions are checked as a final step before they approve the application AFAIK. I think it is like a last minute double-check to ensure you are still eligible to be granted citizenship. On the oath date, you have to once again confirm you don't have any immigration or criminal proceedings in your name when you sign the confirmation of oath form. Not sure why they verify it usually along with language/physcial presence. these both are entirely separate from prohibitions. Thinking that they have separate systems to check for prohibitions alone.
True. I agree since BG is checked long before that.Prohibitions are checked as a final step before they approve the application AFAIK. I think they are checking this with the border agency, a separate request. Its actually weird that they set "Prohibitions" to completed before Physical presence.

WOW Mississauga FInallyGood news, everyone!
You have to sign and give your thumb impression on an rcmp form that says you are authorizing rcmp to give your fp to ircc for the sake of citizenship application. Its a consent form. RCMP or fp agency will have u sign that form when you go for fingerprinting. Hope it helps. In my fingerprint request, it is said "for the fingerprint result to be sent to our office (IRCC), you must authorize IRCC to receive said documents..." What does that mean and what do I need to do to give this authorization to IRCC? TIA
I'm lowkey wondering if the letter I wrote as a response to the 'update' provided by the MP and whether the MP's look into the file prompted something - highly unlikely, but an interesting possibility given the coincidental timing, nonetheless.WOW Mississauga FInally
