For many of Feb applicants it is moving, many are Canadian now and have their passports while many of us are still stuck and our files are stagnant. For instance, many of us didn't receive a test invite.

Hi friends, I need your advise. For people who completed their oath ceremony already, any idea if they give you the option, while in the ceremony, to pick up the Citizenship certificate from their office instead of them sending it by mail?

For your kids - what was the status on new tracker and old tracker? Did they show complete along with yours?

Did they receive fingerprints? Does it show up in history?

I requested my gcms notes from rcmp and it has been more than 30 days. Rcmp replied there is a huge backlog and we cant give u any timeline . Rcmp and cbsa are both pretty much occupied so it's taking time .

I only checked once for my kids in new tracker at time mine was complete but for kids it was in-process. Never checked again as I read in forums that minor status have no impact on file.

For people that have had to do the interview, are these being conducted online? If so, how long was the wait after the end of the citizenship test?

Recently the webpage is updated to send them email on it but members are yet to request ircc to see what happens. So dont know what would their response yet. Why are you asking? Are you outisde of canada and expecting oath anytime soon?

If you are outside when you receive oath invite then email them.

You need to be in Canada to take the Oath of Citizenship. If you get your invitation while you’re outside Canada, reply to the invitation email to explain your situation in detail.

In your email

• put “Outside Canada – Oath of Citizenship” in the subject line
• In the body of your message, include
  • your full name
  • your application number
  • a detailed explanation of your situation

We’ll contact you with your next steps after we receive your email.

Thanks for replying. I was just curious to see how these are being done, seeing as they are allowing applicants to be outside of Canada to take the online test now.
