What does this mean? does this mean original documents were dispatched? The application still shows Under process at ociservices.gov.in

UPDATE: Received the Package today. looks like it in fact was just the original documents.

My expired Indian Passport, which I surrendered when I got my OCI. They wanted that when applying OCI for our daughter

They need expired passport even after surrender certificate and that too original. Strange. But anyways , thanks for the information.

For my OCI application , I have not sent any originals.

Well according to the document checklist, looks like original Indian passport is a MUST for OCI applications. No other original document (other than the Indian passport) is required. This is according to the checklist for Toronto, not sure if you are located in other jurisdictions.

Yes , my application is under process.

BLS status : Processing at CGI
OCI website : under process

Going good so far.

Sorry for the confusion , I did sent my original passport but I completely forgot about it.

Haha LOL. It makes more sense now. BLS is very quick to send back applications that are incomplete. Someone received the application back because the background color of the photo wasn't light enough - They are extremely particular about documentation. I was wondering how on Earth BLS forwarded your documentation to the consulate without the original Indian passport.

If your surrender part is done, then don't need any originals coz they have seen your originals in surrender process.
I did my surrender 11 years ago so all I need photocopies for OCI.

June 21 - Document posted via Purolator (thieves)
June 23 - Under Process
June 24 - Processing at Consulate General
July 16 - Documents Printing Status
July 16 - Dispatched From MEA (OCI)
July 16 - Document received At Toronto
July 16 - Counter Delivery to BLS Centre after OCI stamping

This is for my passport cancellation application.

My OCI status shows as under process from 12th July.
