Hi, My COPR was issued on Dec 24th and valid until 15th Dec 2021. Am I allowed to travel to Canada according to the lates travel restrictions? If yes what should I do next? Do I have to write to authorities or anything? @legalfalcon kindly advice me..
Immigration Minister Marco Mendicino also announced that individuals approved for permanent residence may travel to Canada as of June 21. Previously, foreign nationals who held a valid confirmation of permanent residence issued on or before March 18, 2020, were exempt from Canada's travel restrictions.
Helping applicants with expired and expiring COPRs
A COPR’s validity, which can last for up to one year, is tied to the applicant’s passport and their immigration medical examination. However, many applicants were not able to travel to Canada before their COPRs expired due to the travel restrictions or other COVID-19 related considerations. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has been working with applicants who were already exempt from the travel restrictions to reissue them a COPR. For applicants with expired COPRs issued after March 18, 2020, more information on when and how to obtain a new COPR will soon be available on IRCC’s website.
Individuals whose COPR has expired should not book flights or attempt to travel to Canada until they receive a new COPR from IRCC.
@legalfalcon
Probably a bit too early to ask this but any idea what happens to applications which started getting reprocessed following a request for Copr validity extension.
Right now I have an expired COPR and application in process again.
thankyou in advance.

I guess those of us from pre March with expired copr will just have to keep waiting. It’s almost like the people who have expired copr from before March are nonexistent.
It seems that the official announcement has dropped the requirement to "settle permanently in Canada“ but would allow someone to just finish the immigration process. Am I reading what you are reading?
