today i gave a call to IRCC and agent said application is almost completed only pending is security check.
Does anyone know how long it takes to complete security check?

Received portal login email that looks like a phishing attempt. First name is not printed out, there's no letterhead. Can anyone confirm if it is?

Hey, I think it is from IRCC. It's the first email you get from them to make your portal. Can you also please share your timeline here?

I think it's better to call ircc for status of applications

But its just 2 months since we submitted the application and our representative said it is not a good idea to call them before the minimum processing time.

Guys my friend and I applied for PR together, our AOI is April 15th 2021.
He just got call for CIC and he missed it as he was on work, and now they emailed him asking for his last entry to canada. What does this mean?

I think he got his PR, but not sure. When do we get the portal email?

It means that they finalized processing and he is very close to getting COPR.

Any idea, what does the "portal" thing means? Is it to just apply for PR Card after COPR?
