Hi guys,

Can I have a question regarding extending visitor visa in Canada? I need to extend my spouse`s visitor visa.

For Photocopies of passport pages, do you only include pages that were stamped by Canadian authorities? It also mentions ' any other marked page', so I am assuming I have to include all pages that were stamped by other authorities as well? I guess it doesn't hurt to include them all.


PHOTOCOPIES of passport pages clearly showing each of the following:
• the passport number;
• the dates of issue and expiry;
• your name and date of birth;
• the stamp made by the Canadian authorities on your most recent entry into Canada; and
• any other marked page.

Did you have to upload anything after your medical exams? My doctor said to upload the IME number but I'm not sure where?

As far as I know No. you don’t need to upload anything after medical exam. Report will send directly to IRCC then they review it and passed it. Just ask you doctor did they submit reports?
If yes then it will take 2-3 businesa days to passed and weeks depend on IRCC officer

Q1 . How do we know when did they start background check and criminality on GC keys account ??
I saw some members posted date on spread sheet how do they know the date .
Because medical passed dates you can see on GC key account AIP and SA they sent emails .
How about background check and criminality check ??

Not sure about criminality - maybe they call IRCC or there’s something in eCAS.

For background check: it should be available on your GCKey when you access your PR application. There is a section called ‘background check’ just like there’s one for Eligibility or Medical or Biometrics.
One your bgc has started the message underneath should change to “We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.”

Yes, I have seen a sheet that one person has got Copr but OWP never approved.

I kind of have the feeling that they're not working on our (September applicants) OWP because they're already so far in the PR process.. Not sure if that makes sense, but time will tell!

i feel that way too but question ....if they do not work on our OWP what happens to the funds we paid for it ..can it be refunded?. you are right time will tell we completed our medical and it is showing on ECAS medical received .. so just playing the waiting game ... background has started.. .. there is no structured way to expect what comes next just wait and pray it happens fast

Hi there. I was about to pay the fees then I realized we need to register. I have an existing CIC account because of my Study Permit and PGWP Application. Can I just use that account or register through the same email, or since my husband is the one sponsoring me, is it better if we just make a registration under his name? Yes you can totally use your account, I've done the same thing!

Yes.. I was wondering the same thing about the fees. Hopefully we can get them back if we get PR before OWP. When did you do your medical? Mine still shows "We have requested a medical exam" even though I did mine on the 28th of May.
