I wouldn't expect any excuses.
At least they have to process our files much faster than before. They can do it in 6 months.

They think to prioritize inland applications.

I waited 47 months for CSQ and I am in my 28th months of federal process.
I completed total of 75 months already.
6 years 3 months...
Single, no children.

And no medical yet.

ok, Does it mean they only process inland applicants before taking any existing or new outland ?
Inland applicants still to wait for 27 months?? It is not fair at all :-(
It says prioritization is thought for inland applicants. But they already only process inlands, I haven’t heard any outland file processing in the last 13-14 months.

What is not fair? I did not get you.

For outland people they have an excuse (covid travel restrictions); for inland, there are no excuses for all the delays.
I hope also outlands will be progressed soon.

Travel restrictions will be lifted on 21st of May. I think that even after that date they will not continue to process outlands.
From the news, I am able to see their intentions.

People who apply 14-17 months after me, will be prioritized because they are inland and because they did not get their AOR in a year. This is funny.

both are treated unfairly by the delay.. But logically , even if they process outlands, they cant bring them in due to covid and outlands are not actually contributing anything to canada's economy at present. So personally I feel inlands can be processed first until situation gets better .
I completely understand how outlands feel frustrated but we are all in the same boat.. .. :-(

Congrats,

Your timeline is exactly like mine. Do you know when your security started and how long it took? Did they ask for additional documents from you?
They never asked for more documents. I was asked for medicals and biometrics in early March, but due to COVID I wasn't able to submit biometrics until April.

Outlands can also easily travel to Canada with mandatory quarantine, vaccination certificates or valid PCR tests etc. But it is restricted till 21st of May. Ridiculous!

While International students travel but approved permanent residents can’t land.

Whenever they let outlands to land and get their PRs, they will start to contribute Canadian economy at the first moment that they leave the airport.
Economical contribution can’t be a justification as well.

This is sad to hear.
I see that other programs rather than QSW stream are much much faster. This is the main problem here. Other programs also accept inlands & outlands.
It is real torture for us.

Canada is not processing any outland candidates in any immigration programs. Ontario even wants to stop international student from entering the province. That's why IRCC created new program for people currently working or graduated in Canada. This people are living in the country right now, so they what to give them a chance. It's not fair for the outlands but this solution is cheaper and faster for them because most of the people who qualify has already a job or studied and live here. I don't think that IRCC will start processing outlands before the end of this year. The situation is very unstable and they have a solution for now.
