For ID translation: what should we do if there are no certified translators of our language in our city? Can they work with a scan of the original document?
I feel like I need to prepare that we won't get it. So, it's either CEC or French stream, but my wife is very insecure because she only knows basic French.
Can someone please answer about the translation? What to do if there are no certified translators in the area? Can a translator work from a scanned copy that we provide electronically?

If the translator is not certified, they have to be recognized by a body of which the translation is done. The translation must be accompanied by an affidavit
Would we need to apply for Canadian criminal Check or PCC as well? IRCC says it's not necessary at time of application
Any ideas?
"You don’t need to provide a police certificate when you apply for permanent residence in Canada. We’ll tell you if you need a Canadian criminal record check while your application is being processed."
