Dear @caipsnotes - I raised web form 2 weeks back and have received following mail back from IRCC.CECSCDoNotReply-NePasRepondreCSCEC.IRCC@cic.gc.ca ; kindly advise on what to make of the below message from IRCC, where does my application stand now and roughly any estimate when the complete assessment will finish? I am PNP-Outlander applicant.

I've witnessed another Application/Profile Updated in my CIC profile and after that when I logged in again, it came back to Submitted.

Also, please note that the Background Check status changed to WE ARE PROCCESSING YOUR APPLICATION ....... from YOUR APPLICATION IS IN PROGRESS ......

To know more about my application, I have already applied for my GCMS through GET GCMS on Feb 11, 2021. I emailed GETGCMS to intimate the tentative date on which my GCMS set will be transmitted, so they sent me the email which IRCC sent to GETGCMS and there it has mentioned that I must get my GCMS set by June 11, 2021.

Should I be worried about my Application updates and change in background check status ?

Any update to your account is good sign and shows a movement. Applicants will see 5-7 ghost updates and some applicants will see none.

Nothing to be concerned about.

It can be either. Irrespective of what it is, the good thing is that your application has passed eligibility, even if it is by a case processing agent, it has been recommended passed.

To know the details, you will have to call IRCC or request your GCMS notes.

Nothing to worry.. ghost updates mean they are working on your application. your GCMS notes are delayed.. I raised one around same time and got after month. Your GCMS mostly likely would have generated as of Feb 11 so may not help much anyway. Just call IRCC to get latest updates

What are the next steps for inland CEC after all stages passed and no PPR yet? Can someone explain in detail the steps and what are actions needed from the applicant end? For ex: Do we need to take pics and keep ready...etc.

The unfortunate part is that IRCC has categorized 3rd party GCMS providers into tiers when it comes to extensions.

As a result some 3rd parties will fairly consistently receive 90 days extensions when you get gcms while others receive 60 day extensions if and when extensions are taken

These actions of IRCC were revealed in response to an ATIP request and are an undisputed fact.

When you receive your GCMS file that you requested way back in February it will only capture updates around then only. Any update to your file after the request date + 2 weeks will not be on the GCMS file.

Hello everyone, I called an agent today and came to know that my eligibility is still in progress(Rec passed) but criminality and security passed. So i wonder why its still in progress as the security only starts when egibility is conslusively passed. Also i did my remeds couple days ago and its showing passed as well. Any insight guys @legalfalcon @caipsnotes.

I got another GU today since my last GU was 3 days before. I am not sure if this a glitch because when I refreshed the page while trying to open my application , I got this "application/profile updated" . Should I consider this GU or just some random glitch in the portal . Any ideas guys
