Hello Guys, Just now federal government announced on the TV travel restrictions for flights from India and Pakistan. Tonight from 11:30 pm Est flights from these two destinations will be suspended. People who have booked the ticket for travel in the next 30 days please reschedule.

Well other countries are banning flights so a stopover may be difficult. You will need a negative test from your last point of departure, not your home country.

Yes, but you should have onboarded to flight after 11:30 pm EST (22/4/2021) plus negative results in the transit location. Please check everything with your carrier. So the best way would be to get a transit visa and get yourself tested for covid.

It is really frustrating. Got my PCR test today and it was negative. I was ready to leave my home. I still have some hope about the direct flight thing as I have layover of 3 hours in Dubai.

Additionally, if travellers departing from those two countries take an indirect route home, they’ll be required to show a negative PCR test at their last point of departure. Once they arrive in Canada, they’ll follow the standard protocols, unless exempt, including taking another test and booking a stay at a designated government hotel while they await their result.

I am from Pakistan. The only option if to get myself tested in UAE and then select the flight within the next 24-48 hours to CA

I just checked and they don’t have a testing facility for transit passengers at the airport.

You will need to stay in Dubai and get another PCR test. Believe UAE isn't accepting India travelers. Check with Emirates. You would have to extend your stay in Dubai.
