He also urged those without language results not to apply. The system will probably ask you to provide results of your language test, so if you lie that you have already taken a test to get into the system, it could be counted as misinterpretation.

I hope the application system works in a way that anyone answering NO to the requirements won't be able to apply. It's just unfair if people just start uploading LOE's for IELTS or completion letters.

Does anyone want to create an online tool (Might be excel worksheet) to calculate work experience here hours? I could too but maybe someone already has done it before.

To count the 1560 hours? Is excel the best way to go? I was thinking to upload all my payslips to show the hours.

I would think an excel document will be ideal. I will submit payslips and employment reference letter though, but I will have a calculation of the hours as well. I know how many total hours I have worked from my employee portal so that helps.

I don't think an officer wants to wade through 12-36 months worth of payslips. My employment letter shows the hours worked per week whilst on study permit and on my current work permit and both total over 1560 over the last two years of working for them.

Or, will they set the CEC rule where beyond a certain hours a week, those hours won't count?

1560 hours can be in the last few years, I believe. They are not counting anything over 30 hours per week. I think it is possible to accumulate them over 15 months.

Because I had issues in collecting my documents from back home due to pandemic and it’s been more than 5 months now but no update.

Beyond a certain(30) hours don't count. That is why it is advisable to have in your letter the number of hours worked per week, then they can guestimate the overall number of hours.

E.g

30+ hours/week only need show 12months/52 weeks employment.

20 hours/week need show about 20months/78 weeks

15 hours/week need to show about 24months/104 weeks etc.

They don't need the total perse, just need to see that your hours worked is consistent over a period and they will calculate themselves.

Myself I will be combining about 80 weeks of 15 hours per week and 6 months of 30+ hours per week in the same NOC and job titles.

It's a little more confusing if you don't work a set number of part time hours per week. I work somewhere between 8-40 hours per week so calculating that would take more effort. I did build myself a spreadsheet to tally up my hours though.

Oh well, in that case it can be tight for me to get into essential worker stream. Worked 65 hours a week in my semester breaks for 4 months. Guess we'll wait and see what rules IRCC has in place for this program.
