New Policy for International Students - April 12th, 2021

Hello,
Based on this: Temporary public policy to facilitate the granting of permanent residence for foreign nationals in Canada, outside of Quebec, with recent Canadian work experience in essential occupations - Canada.ca

The information given is not very explanatory.. How can we apply? Are we going to create an EE profile like regular way?

I already have my ECA from my home country which is equivalent for 4 years of Canadian bachelor degree and i already have my IELTS
I also have 1+1 combined 2 year post grad certificates from a canadian college

I am currently working as a skilled worked under NOC 4163 but that NOC isn't in the list but security guards and plumbers are in the list ?????
I was normally going to wait for June in order to complete my 1 year skilled work experience and create an EE profile but this new thing confused me a lot...

Can anyone who graduated from a canadian educational institution apply to this without a 1 year skilled work experience ?

Yes, the idea is that you wouldn't have to wait for your one-year mark. In your case, you can apply a month ahead (or just wait till June, as CEC might be faster who knows). The list is for the essential worker streams, you would apply under the international graduate stream (any job is fine as long as you are employed).

Is IELTS fully booked till May 6? I'm unsure how the process is unfortunately, they haven't specified. I would book the earliest test.. there is no guarantee 40,000 slots will fill up immediately (it might take days), so doing things ASAP is best.

Luckily was able to book for the ielts on 24th just now but since it takes about 2 weeks for the result to be out, I was bit worried of getting the result after may 6th and the slots would fill up before then. Can't even load celpip website right now.

This seem to be such a great opportunity and I hope I don't mess it up simply cause of language test

I am so angry with myself my immigration lawyer advised me to book ielts for end of June and I did so, I got it for 26th of June, I booked it like 2 months ago. Do you guys think I even have a chance to get in? I mean I would get results back on 10th of July. But I dont get it why did they put cut off on the 5th of November. If 40.000 spots are opened and if they fill in already in lets say 5 days, whats the point of it all?

Did you manage to book also speaking section? Because I got on the web site one time today and it didnt allowed me to book speaking.

Thank you for your response. Since this new policy will be valid from May to November, I will probably wait for June to complete my 1 year skilled work experience (i am actually employed for almost 2 years but my previous position was falling under noc C ) and apply that way just to make sure. Is the application process for this going to be on a separate site rather than creating EE profile, or it will be from the same place ?

I am confused about the requirements of a degree. It says: Associate, degree, masters and doctorate.

So, my Canadian education is Bachelor in Health Science (Public health) Post-Diploma on transcript and mentions as Bachelor in Health Sciences degree on the degree paper.

Can anyone tell me if my degree falls in any of the above mentioned category?

Yeah.. if you have been working for 1 year and its 1560 hours in total

I have my old academic one that I used for my college here and it already expired. Now I have booked for my general IELTS like 2 months ago I booked it for 26th of June. If I would know the government would come up with this, I would of course book it like now right away so I could apply on the 6th of May. Do you think I still have a chance?

Yes I did. I think you're referring to one slot at Cambridge where you can't book for the speaking section. Tried that slot too but seems like there are some error. Hopefully they would release additional test slots

I think right now nobody can even book IELTS anymore, its probably fully booked already for 2 months, I tried to get on but couldnt make it.
