I started my online studies (2 year course/4 semesters) from home country on September 2020 and I will be completing my 2nd semester by 23rd April.
I am planning to travel on 24th April 21.
Will I be allowed to enter Canada, given there is a 4 month break before the start of 3rd semester, (Tentative Date of 3rd semester: September 2021)?
It's up to the discretion of the border officer. Also they do check your previous grades learnt online while making the decision to allot the permit. Even advisors from renowned universities have been warning against this (not to travel during breaks). It's a grey area. As long as you show the necessary funds it should be fine.

@Konan1982
I couldn't travel on March as I was waiting on my visa to get approved by IRCC (we all have waited long). Until my visa was approved I didn't wanted to quit my job. There was a 2 month notice before my last working day and now its April. I have a relieving letter that says my last working day was 11th April

Where's the proof of that? Also, is this consistent throughout the year or only when you're traveling during breaks? I can't quite understand the relevance of grades in issuing the study permit. Does that mean if a student had poor grades they would be denied a SP and thus their visa would be annulled?
Hi, were you able to travel? I am in a simialr situation. My study permit expires in July and i want to get there before the expiry so i can apply for pgwp from within canada

Are you travelling to secure work? You should be aware that finding jobs in this market may be very difficult so you should be prepared if you remain unemployed for the summer.

I am deemed to be an essential worker but I have been told that I will need to quarantine but the difference is that I am more likely to be let into the country.
