Yes I received an email on Jan 8th about pre arrival
Hopefully you'll get the approval very soon

Oh wow! So jan 5 it said processing and jan 7 u got pre arrival? Thats so fast!! I wonder why mine is over two months now. Everyones case is soo different its crazy. I hope so too!!

He is a Nov 2019 applicant you mentioned you are a Feb 2020 but apart from that 2020 applicant will probably have to wait even longer than 15 months in total to get to final stage

But then why would they start processing around the same time as his? If im later shouldnt my processing in ankara also start later?

That in process update doesn't mean anything. They just finished a batch and moved on to next. No one knows how they work. But once they pick up ur file to actually work on it then all depends on how well your case is provided and if theres nothing else they need from u then they make the final decision and you will be notified. Theres nothing we can do but wait

Yes but if they updated Jan 7 for me and Jan 5 for him doesnt that mean we are not too far apart and they should go through my files around the same amount of time as his?

It all depends on when you submitted your application.

I am August 2019 applicant. 9th Feb. pre arrival and then ecas shows decision made for sponsor after that I got nothing

IRCC transferred files from Lebonan to Ankara. That's why it looks like Ankara stopped working. They are prioritizing files from Lebonan.

If files can be transferred, why not transferring the Lebonan files to Canada where they have increased staff?
Ankara is working with limited staff and reduced hours.
When we asked them to transfer our files to Canada for processing, IRCC said file cannot be transferred. Like it has gone to another planet! Now files are flying everywhere! One lie after another. Shame on this government.

Yeah thats possible, probably they were doing worse than ankara VO and still stuck at 2019 or even 2018 applicants. What a shitshow seriously

Yes my file was transfered from Lebanon to Ankara and it has been so slow it was transferred October 2020 and still nothing. I emailed Ankara Office and they said they are working with reduced staff. They have sooo many applications how will they get through all of them with low staff its ridiculous!

They told me like the transfer happened in the past month. They said Ankara is a mess. When was your application received?

They have increased staff in Canada and yet they transfer files to overwhelmed VOs outside Canada. IRCC said in September 2020 that it's impossible to transfer files between VOs! Now they are processing files that would otherwise go to Ankara in Beijing, Ottawa, and Mississauga.
It's a mess.
It's funny how their advocates were arguing on Facebook that it's absolutely impossible to move the Files!
