I'm really happy to see a lot of people have started getting AL automatically in their GC Key account. Some of them have even got Passport Request.
If someone can help understand what should I do in current scenario, would really appreciate it.
- CoPR issued November,2019
- CoPR expired April, 2020
- Raised multiple web forms stating that me and my wife are ready to travel and always got the generic response. (Raised one yesterday, again)
- Never got a 4 pointer mail.
- No re-medicals request ever came through.
- Just the 'latest update' section on the application page in GC key account keeps changing.
- Basically it has been complete Radio Silence for us.
And no word about exempting (valid) CoPR holders
Really don't understand how someone with a post 18 March CoPR is a bigger risk for Canadian health than someone with pre 18 March CoPR!
While the topic has come up many times and has resulted in quarrels
The 18th March date is set because in my opinion ircc may have thought that people may have left their jobs or sold off their house etc to move to Canada... U get where i am going with this... Really not looking for the debate to start again

I Understand this, but I cannot comprehend the difference between folks coming from the U.S and other places. Why are they exempt but not others? The disparity is quite unjust.

The travel restrictions are not set by ircc though. They are set by health Canada and no explanations were given why international students were allowed in but not copr holders.

Hi all..I'm a bit confused if the AL is issued for expired COPR holders pre March 18th or for all expired COPR including post Mrch 18th expired COPR holders?
My wife got a call from health Canada in the morning and a officer came in afternoon to check. He just asked few questions and saw the passport. She completed her 7th day of quarantine.
Hello, can some one help me with the process of adding a new born child to the application after the COPR is issued. My Copr was issued before 18th March.I am among the group whose COPR expired because we were unable to travel during COVID restrictions. Now when re medical was requested by IRCC in November I was pregnant and couldn't undergo the medical. We had informed IRCC regarding the same via webform and also informed about the pregnancy and how to progress with adding the baby to the application.
They replied by stating that we have to fill out IMM008 DEP and additional dep form along with passport and birth certificate copy.
I am confused as to how to submit the required documents. Is it via webform or through the online portal.
Secondly, as I had applied via a consultants they are not willing to give me the login ID and password if we have to submit the documents online.
1)Can the documents be submitted via webform instead of online account.
2) has anyone gone through the the same process. Please share the steps taken to progress with the application.
My spouse and my COPRs were expired on Jan 29 2021 (issued after March 18).
Sent several webforms and received remed request on Feb 6 -- Finished and got my medical passed last week.
Wanted to know what are the next steps for us?
Is remed request a good sign to receive COPR extensions, or should I request for an AL from IRCC ?
