Hey guys !
I hope everyone is doing well ! I requested my ATIP notes in January. I only received a temporary AOR in December 7th.
The only section that started was criminality and a note from the agent saying that “I didn’t fill Box 2 on IMMM0008 right but that the documentation supported a QSW application and was sent for further processing”.
do you think it’s safe to say that they won’t return my application for a missing signature/ missing document ?
I can also see my application on ECAS but can’t link it
I have the same case. I am not sure why people who received pre-arrival letter starting august 2020 are getting their COPR before us who received it in March 2020. I didn't visit other conuties than canada but I am lebanese maybe it raises flags no one knows. My brother had also his COPR delayed for 10 months (express entry) both we have families. I noticed that applicants with families almost always face delays in processing, is this your case?
I guess it is Lebanon which raises a flag. I am Lebanese too currently residing in the U.S and have been waiting since December 3, 2019 after I got my pre-arrival letter and provided my police certificates in Jan 2020. I hope we get relieved soon With good news about our applications

What I don't understand is that I went through security check for my study permit and I lived 2 years in Canada before going back to Lebanon (after applying for PR), yet I have to go again through same process. Do you think that security check is different between a study permit and PR? I believe they woudn't let anyone who poses a security threat to enter canada no matter what is the program.
I have friends who applied the same month as me (may 2019) who have already received and finished their medicals in January but I still haven't received anything. The agent says my security is not started. Do you think my file is lost or put at the bottom of the queue? I had a request for police certificates twice. The first time, they misspelled my name... Took a month to get a corrected request. Do you guys think this is causing the delay or it has nothing to do with when security starts? My eligibility and criminality are already passed and I received the LSAA in September 2020. Inland applicant here.

I am from earlier than you, no problems with police certificates, but still waiting for medicals and security not started. There are people that are waiting even longer than me.
That's crazy. It's no longer a case of "every file is different" I they're not even looking at it. If they started security and it was taking a while - then sure. But if they haven't and have processed some files before others, it's just kinda strange.
One general question - when you send them updates using the webform - eg. Change in marital status with supporting documents, do those documents show up as received in your account? Or do you get an email that the documents were received? I uploaded documents over a week ago and I haven't got any acknowledgement

Hello just got my GCMS notes and apparently everything is passed/complete except security which apparently hasn't started yet. I applied Nov 30 2018 and passed my medical on nov 06 2020. After that it's been radio silence. I asked my MP to also get in touch with IRCC but i guess nothing more can be done but wait...I'm an inland applicant.
Same here. Applied Nov 19. GCMS notes show security as not started. However, you might wanna look for blank areas around the security assessment which might indicate that they've hidden some security check info.
Been following the forum almost daily since more than a year, learnt a lot and now it’s time to visit it for one last time and pay my debt...hope it shades light on some of you:
Applied: June 19
AOR: Aug 19
Police certificate request: Sept 20
Medicals request: 18 Jan 21
Medicals completed: 3 Feb 21
COPR: 12 Feb 21
(Inland, with past experience in 2 foreign countries for more than 6 months, applied with my wife)
We had a really crazy experience extending 3-4 times our work permits at last minute, but finally the nightmare is over.
Wish you all the best and hope all your files will be treated as soon as possible.
I am a July 2019 Applicant. Just now I saw my ECAS status that they started processing my application last February 10, 2021. Please find below:
Permanent Residence
We received your application for permanent residence on July 31, 2019.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on February 3, 2021.
We started processing your application on February 10, 2021.
Is this a good sign that my file is complete and they will just ask for additional documents? I provided a PCC however this is already expired as it took them 18 months to open my file, so I believe CIC will ask for my updated PCC.
Appreciate the feedback experts. God bless us all.

IRCC took 1 MONTH to send me this automated reply to my webform enquiry, to basically say nothing:
Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
We verified the information you provided and can confirm that your application is still in process.
All the required documents and information have been received by the responsible office for the moment.
Due to the ongoing situation related to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), some IRCC offices are currently operating with reduced or critical staff only.
We are working on processing applications as quickly as possible; however, processing times are affected and any disruption caused by COVID-19 is not reflected accurately on our website. We will make all the necessary efforts to finalize your application as soon as possible.
Rest assured that you will be informed as soon as a decision is reached or if additional information is needed.
We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry.
We would also like to suggest the following online services that might be helpful to you with any immigration, refugee and/or citizenship future requests:
I already have my CSQ but not yet applied for paper PR (was not sure of EE invite due to low CRS so applied)
now If I got ITA in this CEC @75 draw then I think I can apply for EE and proceed which is faster that CSQ paper PR ?? I am out side Canada right now and in India.
-- help with the situation. I hope someone had faced similar situation

If you apply with CSQ you are 99.9% sure that you will get PR one day (if don't mess up with the papers, of course). The problem is nobody knows when
EE is a little bit risky because of the draw and the other potential problems but definitely faster. If you take in consideration the Covid situation is very unlikely that you'll be able to come to Canada in a year even with EE. They are concentrate on inland candidates right now.
Massive draw today:
Canadian Experience Class
Number of invitations issued: 27,332
Rank required to be invited to apply: 27,332th or above
Date and time of round: February 13, 2021 at 11:56:56 UTC
CRS score of lowest-ranked candidate invited: 75
Tie-breaking rule: September 12, 2020 at 15:31:40 UTC
Not an easy choice! Good luck!
By the way with 75 points your chances are slim, draws like this happens ones in 10 years.
