PR Card (New/Renewal) Processing Timeline 2020

Here is my timeline for PR card renewal. I mailed my application on December 23rd and was received on January 4th and I had requested for urgent processing:

1. We received your application for a permanent resident card on January 5, 2021.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on January 5, 2021.
3. We started processing your application on January 5, 2021.
4. Your Permanent Resident card was sent by mail on January 19, 2021.

Update:

I received my PR card in mail.

My CIC account is updated. But the status in ECAS account has not changed. Here is the update:

"We mailed your permanent resident card to you. Your card can take up to six weeks to arrive.

Try to check your CIC account in addition to ECAS.

FYI, here is the info in ECAS:

1. We received your application for a permanent resident card on October 28, 2020.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on December 30, 2020.
3. We started processing your application on December 30, 2020

Hii i am not able to link my application to cic. Every time it says application not found. But i can see status on CAS.

On cas it says decision made. How much time it usually takes from decision made to approved status?

Just checked MyCIC account and it says card mailed out today. No update on ECAS.

Check your personal info if you have no luck linking your application
For example the city of your birth, supposed to be the same as the one on your passport

Have you tried to link your application by your application number? It starts with R and is in the subject of AOR Email.

1. We received your application for a permanent resident card on October 27, 2020.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on January 5, 2021.
3. We started processing your application on January 5, 2021.
4. Your request for a permanent resident card was approved on January 5, 2021. Your Permanent resident card will be mailed to you or if quality assurance is required, made available for you to pick up at an IRCC office.
5. Your Permanent Resident card was sent by mail on January 25, 2021.

Finally my status changed to "Complete":

1. We received your application for a permanent resident card on October 22, 2020.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on December 17, 2020.
3. We started processing your application on December 17, 2020.
4. Your Permanent Resident card was sent by mail on January 25, 2021.

Hello Experts,

Hope everyone is safe.

I have following questions:

1. My PR is expiring in end of this year i.e. Dec 2021. Do we need to wait for some more time before applying for renewal or I can apply for renewal any time ?

2. My daughter and wife PR is expiring in Jun 2022, should we apply together or I apply for myself, and apply for my wife and daughter next year ?
