No. You cant take outside. You should be inside.

If we invited you for an online test, you

• have 21 daysfrom the date in the invitation to take the test
  • If you need an extension, email the office that sent you the test invitation with your explanation.
  • Our officers give extensions on a case-by-case basis.
• must be in Canada to take the test

How many of us waiting for the Test invite after it got canceled in March 2020?
Seems like people who got Oath invite did their Test before the cancellation.

Guys, there is an update on IRCC website that specifically requests applicants whose oath ceremonies were cancelled in March because of COVID-19 to send a request through webform. This might speed up the process a little bit and you might receive your oath invite if you contact them.

Here's what it says :

Contact us through the Web form if you

• had a ceremony scheduled on or before March 15, 2020, and
• haven’t received an invitation for a video oath ceremony.

Choose the following options :

1. What did you apply for? = Citizenship
2. Which citizenship application? (required) = Becoming a Canadian Citizen (grant of Citizenship)

In Process ecas: Sept 25, 2019

We have heard nothing since, we followed up a few times in 2020 but they said nothing, just that it is in process. Last we heard from them was Fall 2019, they sent us the book to study from.

Is this ok? normal? Getting worried now.

Well, try ordering GCMS notes. While there is no guarantee by any means, this might get the ball rolling. I suggested the same thing to a 2018 applicant yesterday, who is still waiting for their application to progress. Ordering GCMS has sometimes got the application moving in the past, it might or might not work but it is worth a try - you don't lose a cent in trying.

My timeline is very similar to yours. Currently stuck at same step. Still waiting for test date. Sent a case specific enquiry in D3cember 2020 and got a typical reapone that its still in process.

I have an opportunity to do more some trainings in October in another country and I need a citizenship to be able to qualify.
do you think it's possible that May applications will have the citizenship by then?

It is likely but there is no guarantee.
