Hello I have received the GCMS notes and it indicates case pending ssc from Alberta, does anyone know what that means? Thank you kindly

SSC stand for Social Security Check. So therefore your file is pending as IRCC is doing a social security check with Alberta province where I believe the sponsor is residing. That will take a while as you can read from the previous threads from other applicants on this stage. Hope that help to answer your question.

if your medical extended then you can see new medical passed date in myCIC.
"Medical not required, if it changes we will send you a message", that message means you will get request to redo medical.

Might be off topic but once our parents received their PR status will they be eligible for the ff:

GST Credit
Tax return if they have $0 income
OAS?

I guess what I'm asking is, what benefits will they be eligible for? It may vary per province but just curious.

hi second medical passed Jan 5, 2020; PA status changed to DM today. and got COPR from email this morning. I am going to send my parents' passports to HK once I figure out the way. can't wait to share with you. Thanks for all the support from this forum.

Hi everyone.

I submitted my parents sponsorship application in June 2019. The CAS shows "In Process" but only says Application received on June xx, 2019. Over the last two years CIC has only communicated with me once to request a document which I submitted (and it shows on the mycicaccount i.e. that they have received the documents I submitted).

I am touching 20 month mark and no further progress. We haven't received medical or anything else yet but my parents biometrics are valid for another few years (they have visited Canada few times in the past).

Is anyone else in the same boat? Any suggestions/guidance? I hope there is light at the end of the tunnel.

SAME CASE. Too sad. I ordered GCMS and it's show that the case is pending a Social Service check form September 2,2020. I do not know what to do and how to move it .

I understand they might request additional medical test. But how about the status, will they mention it when they receive? Or they will just change the status from (not receive) directly to (pass), my concern right now is they haven't gotten the report.

Status won’t change untill medical officer fully satisfied with all info submitted

Ok so Parents COPR and PR Visa was received and expired on 02 Sep 2020, they couldn't lend by this time.
Received email from IRCC saying they could extend Medical and issue travel document if ready to fly by Jan 1st. We didn't opt for this.

We wish to have our parents here by May 1st, 2021. Anyone in similar situation? How to proceed now? IRCC may need Medicals done again which is fine but how to initiate this process again?

in details about your application "review of medical results" you do not need medical exam, if this changes we will let you know
Previously it was saying you passed medical exam on xxxxxx
does this mean they have waived remedical? thanks for your input

And what is your expectation in regards to the timelines? Did you receive medical or biometrics requests? We are hitting 20th month mark and they have started accepting fresh applications. Something doesnt make sense here.
