what exactly is ghost update? I saw a different definition on google, but does it actually mean? I don't have GC Key with me. and if there are such an update and my agent doesn't check it regularly. will I miss the update?

May I know what is "GC Key"?

I am just wondering at this point, how should we expect them to process our application when our classes start next month? They are currently working on the massive backlog, should we even expect anything at this point since we applied in October.

In my case, I have applied in August and until now I haven't got anything for Jan 2021 intake, and I already request a deferral to the next fall semester to my university, do I need to get a new LOA from my university?

They immediately update your Biometric details to your profile. Biometric is valid for 10 years. Please login using GC key and verify. You don't have to do anything. Just wait, you may get a result in a week.

Yes, you need a fresh Letter of Acceptance, you can remind your college about that. Although they automatically issue a fresh letter as per their schedule.
