Backlogs matter or not?

I recently scored in IELTS overall 6.5 bands with S-7.5, R-6.5, W-6.0, S-6.0 . I have completed Bechlors degree in Information Technology field with 6.72 CGPA. I had 9 backlogs, so consultants said to me you are not eligible for Software Technologies and Mobile Application Development PG courses in most Toronto colleges.
Is it true? If it false which colleges in Toronto area should I consider?

I did not apply in any college. I got result on 15 aug, but consultants told me this issue. What should i do?

No you can not apply unless all backlogs are clear.

Means my all backlogs are cleared and i graduated in 2017. But total backlogs are 9.

You may be accepted by college but might me rejected by CIC. They might see you had 9 backlogs so you are not interested in studying.

it is just 50-50% chance ..apply and see..they might accept you. But first, apply to college and see what they have to say.

Don't get disheartened
There are collegese that doesn't asks flr backlogs....try and find good consultants.
Don't got to GTA OR TOUGH COURSES

If this makes you feel any better. I had 12 backlogs. I applied to plenty of colleges and yes they declined because of the backlogs and all. Finally got accepted in Seneca College and got AIP in September. Now awaiting final revert. What really matters is how you justify your backlogs in your SOP and IELTS plays an important role. If you qualify for SDS it somewhat helps to prove that now you are serious about your studies and can do well.

Did you submitted backlog summary with transcripts on your own or they asked for it.

If this makes you feel any better. I had 12 backlogs. I applied to plenty of colleges and yes they declined because of the backlogs and all. Colleges ask for backlog certificate; on college letter head that says you had specific backlogs in which particular years and when you cleared.

CIC had no such demand.
