PR card is not needed I suppose since they have the UCI no and all the info.
Did you and
@BOYX have temporary residence status as student/worker before PR? I am just wondering the reasons why it does not work for you guys.
And one more thing I noticed different in online application, though not related to issue you face. The online app does not ask for section 9b questions that are in the previous paper form
[Form CIT 0002]. These questions are about the work/study permit history. For my case, i had these permits and only place to add was in the physical presence calculator form.
No I was a PR throughout my 5 years. The only odd aspects of my application that come to mind are the following: my lack of presence in approximately the first 2 years & a gap in between the issuance of my passports.
@BOYX why don't you try uploading all documents in jpeg instead of pdf? Just not the physical presence calculator.
I don't think the gap in passport is an issue because the page shows ready as soon as you put the first passport information.
I did the refresh trick and the banner came. I filled it in with a new id, still when I submit it says failed to submit :'(
Follow d instructions on IRCC’s tweet yesterday about the brower issues

The help functions say you can upload in pdf though..

Does this include the digital photo? I recall reading that the photo has to be in JPEG. I already uploaded mine in JPG (which is same as JPEG) without issues.
Please explain!

I really never saw any instructions. Just kept scanning images and uploading other than the photo and physical presence calculator.
I will just reapply if they reject for whatever reasons.
all those whose applications failed to submit online should rest assured that whatever you will try will not fix the issue,it has something to do with IRCC system...as of now the online portal only support certain applications.
most likely people with a long history during the 5 years eligibility period will not have any success applying online as of now until IRCC fix their portal or they can still apply by paper if they choose not to wait.
good luck to all.
I have just applied online without any issue but I didn’t receive the AOR right away obviously lol I used my iPhone 8 with Safari

you shouldn't expect an AOR right away but if your application was successfully submitted you get an instant confirmation.
you applied using an iphone! i though phones and ipads don't work for online applications with IRCC?
@canadavisa13 yeah at the end it gave me a confirmation “You successfully submitted your application “
I liked it more than the paper application as it won’t let you submit the application if something is missing with the information fields for example (address gaps for the 5 years eligibility period ....) or missing documentation or wrong size and format of documents uploaded . And yes I used my iPhone

congratulations.
i am assuming your 5 years eligibility period history (employment,education...) is not long because some people have success from the first get go and others tried many times without success.

Hi,
What format did you upload your documents in? Also, what is your largest file size ( are they all under 2000kb?)
Let me know please. I have applied like 10 times with no luck and am really stressed out
Thanks

The largest file I uploaded was 3800kb and smallest 2000kb.
I don't really think it has much to do with the file size tho.
@proactivejaf i used all pdf file format except my digital photo which I used JPG. The file were all about 800 kb , I used online apps to reduce the size. Small size files would better work I guess .
