hello ! toi told me that you applied permanent residence under humanitarian grounds after one year of living in Canada. Can I know your legal status what was it? Visitor, foreign worker, international student? Why do you request RRRA.
Only one question remains. Approval of your application was based on the difficulty of returning to the home country, the best interest of the child or the adjustment in Canada? And it is what I think is difficult to happen in a year, except in the event that the person makes a great effort, as you mentioned, or has strong family ties in Canada
I applied for PRRA as I wasn't legal to become or apply for asylum.
I got an open work-permit.
Best interest child+ achievements in Canada. You can achieve a lot in one year ( work, go to language part-time school, volunteer and file your tax) I did all that then applied for H&C.I had no time for myself was running 24/7 to be able to apply.I did it and you also can , don't build difficulties wirk hard for what you want and be sure you will get it.
I have no family in Canada.
It is very hard to predict the timeline, I guess. We have been waiting for 22 months to become "In Process" and then it took around 2 months to get the approval. There are some people on this forum who are still waiting for approval from 2018 submissions. Some people moved to In process faster, but have been waiting for approval letter for much longer since then.
I appealed my PRRA to federal court before get to judge . The crown send it to reconsideration the that’s why I get released from detention and after that I applied for h&c . My prra is been 33 months

I heard about another case before, whose application was approved after a year of residence in Canada.
In the case of a foreign child requesting permanent residence with you, this is stronger than having a Canadian child who has all rights and is protected by Canada, and he can reside there whenever he wants

That could be never thought about it before.
Our AIP was approved after 6 months but we received the notice 5 months later. The officer was trying to make both decisions PRRA and H&C before end of 2019 but he was unable to do so he apologized and decided to approve stage1

I proveded the most needed documents, work proof, volunteer, papers from schools, and papers from my language school + letters from friends
Then whatever you have updated like tax, new work letter or recommendation or letter from your kids teachers you can update while processing. I followed all my lawyer's notes
Did they ask you to provide the RCMP clearance as well, or they will be reaching out the RCMP on their end? Maybe this is the reason for such a delay. For many people here the COPR was quite straightforward so I am not sure what is holding us up?
