What’s the use of this for us who are still waiting for the work permit for more than 220 days...even after contacting via phone and web forms no response yet
To be honest, after the "expected" processing time, what really matters is what is in your GCMS notes. I have a sinking feeling that something might be there.
If there is nothing there, then you should be happy! More hands are on the job to process the applications and thats why things are speeding up. Most likely your application will be picked up.
I applied on July 22 (on paper)- PWGP extension due to passport renewal.
I just logged in to my profile and (surprisingly) my application was approved. I don’t know how the hell.. given the processing times
timelines:
application sent: July 20 to CPC Edmonton
Application received: July 21
Correspondence letter: oct 22 (today) biometrics updated
Application approved: October 22, 2020
Total 3 months
I was hoping to get the PR soon as I was only pending biometrics and then to withdraw this WP application and get my money back. However, it’s great to have the peace of mind to have a valid work permit until next year.

Did you get a biometrics correspondence letter? If yes, how long did it take from this letter to your approval.
My AOR is July 1st and got the biometrics exemption letter on Nov. 6. Just wondering how long I will wait for the final approval.

I did get biometric collection letter request and it was then exempted due to new rules however I did not get any exemption letter which says I was exempted or will get refund. It took approx. 5 months for me to get approval.
