Written authorization request for extended family members

Hi, has anyone requested a written authorization from IRCC for extended family members of PR holders or Canadian citizens? any news on your request?
What would consider as valid reason for the travel? Is family reunion after long time a strong reason for IRCC?

Family reunion is a legitimate reason.

I sent an email almost a week ago. No reply till now.

Looking to start the process for my sister to visit. Wondering if it is enough to just state 'family reunification' as the purpose for travel in the form (IMM0006E). Has anybody had success with this reason? Also, what do you write for the detailed purpose of travel in the email to IRCC?
