May I ask what was your friend's reason for having part time semesters?

Courses were all full. He was on waitlist but didn't get the seat. So, he has to do part time semesters.

why did you not submit job offer? Did you apply for leave or not

I thought they need only pay stubs but there was not any box asking for that but now i am planning to send via web form

Just got approved, eligibility review started yesterday.
Applied on May 30th and applied inland from Ontario, Kitchener.

I was very nervous as I had few breaks in my studies. I attached an explanation letter and everything worked out!
