If you find work before your SIN expires, you can keep working even with an expired SIN.
If you can't find work before the expiration date, then you have to wait for your PGWP to renew you SIN, as employers can't put an expired SIN in the system.

My SIN expired after I applied for my PGWP but I didn't start working August 24th, a couple weeks after it expired. So I do think it is possible to employ someone with an expired SIN. I had to submit a couple documents showing I had submitted and was waiting for IRCC decision lol. But nonetheless, I lost some really good job offers when they found out I don't have my work permit yet

Elligibility review not started yet. Medical updated october 22 in application status. Even though never did the medical.

Was it an upfront medical? What does your medical now says because i did an upfront and status has not changed but officer informed me that my medical is on file.

I had to keep checking my account. I guess they're not sending out e-mails like they used to before.

They are but it comes 1 day or hours after you check your cic acct
