Did anyone receive biometric fee refund if it was exempted? Mine was exempted and did not receive yet even after 3 weeks post approval.

Today my spouse application status changed to below status. She applied work permit extension on June 12th 2020.Hopefully she will get status in couple of days.

For me it took less than 2 hours. when I saw my application it was showing same way what you've mentioned and later after couple of hours it was approved. I guess that may be depends on the application.

It depends how complicated the application is and how fast the officer wants to close it. Some application are very straight forward and are processed very fast.

Most of the time is actually spent in waiting in the queue.

My spouse application was approved. Within in 2hrs after status change I got approved status. I applied on June 12th 2020 and it's cleared now. Others can compare their timelines.

Good! you got it approved in 130 days. Thats a better than processing time. Congrats! I guess you will have the paper in 7 days or so.

Yes, Thanks. I think they are picking application fast from last one month. Next step is to apply for stamping and wait for it. Waiting game

Stamping? You mean you applied for TRV as well?

I said, we will apply soon. We need stamping to re-enter Canada if we travel to home country.

Cool! BTW, just FYI, you can actually apply for TRV before your WP is done. You will get a passport request for the label.

Well. Thats not true. I am in work permit status till now, to apply TRV you need valid work
Permit or visitor record to get stamped. These are mandatory docs while submitting application. Since my status in Canada is work permit, i need to wait till my extension is done. Now, with my extended work permit I can apply TRv and probably i will get stamping till WP validity.

If we approve your application, we send you a message in your online account and mail you your new work or study permit. You can apply for your visitor visa before your work or study permit arrives, but you must provide proof that your application has been approved, such as:

• a screenshot of your online approval
• your application number
• any other document that proves you have a valid and approved study or work permit extension
