I'm sorry but I don't have any link or source. I've been in a whatsapp grp for a while now and noticed that many applicants including me whose application has been approved does not show any update in gckey. They still show that application is under process but in gcms it shows that everything has been approved.

No problem. I'll suggest u to raise a webform specifically asking abt ur eligibility and security. Or if u have never ordered gcms, u could give it a try. It will give u more insight abt ur application and you'll feel more at ease knowing what has been cleared and if something is pending.

Never mind. Just received them. Seems like file was approved in March.That’s the last notes entry. What can I do about this?

Also, the generated counterfoil says that the copr is valid till 28/10, which is exactly a year from when I had my medical. The medical review expires on 4/11. @legalfalcon

Please is there anybody here that is going through the extended family exemption? Please indicate. I’m terribly confused. I need to know how you are going about the process. I’m a PR applicant and I also have a sibling. I don’t really know how to go about the authorization process for someone in my shoe. I will deeply appreciate any response

COPR has no validity or expiry. The PR visa does. If you medicals are about to expire, IRCC will review them and can extend them to ask for a remed.

Hi @CCS0025,
that's fairly easy - you have to visit this website: https://www.ourcommons.ca/members/en and on the map at the bottom search for the MP in your district. Then you click on his/her photo and the contact details will show up. From my experience, email is the best form of contact. Send them an introduction email, explaining your situation and they will send you a couple of documents to fill out so they can start handling your file.

You can visit your local MP and request them to seek info on your application. Many applicants have done it, but doing it before the average processing time of 6 months has expired makes no sense and this does not expedite your application either.

IRCC is obligated to release the information to the MP under the Privacy Act within 48 hours under the Privacy Act.

• 8 (1) Personal information under the control of a government institution shall not, without the consent of the individual to whom it relates, be disclosed by the institution except in accordance with this section.
  (2) Subject to any other Act of Parliament, personal information under the control of a government institution may be disclosed

The information provide to the MP is way more accurate and precise than what you get in response to your webform. Many applicants have done it and usually the info you get is as follows:

Thanks, I have sent an email to our MP, initially they insisted that they can’t do any thing before a year is passed which is the case now, also they wanted to know what exactly is the affect of delay, so I have sent a comprehensive email, I will keep all posted !

I think only inland applicants can contact the MP of their catchment area.
