AOR: FEB 28, 2020
BIL: FEB 28, 2020
BIOMETRICS PROVIDED: JUN 29, 2020
MEDICAL CHECK UPFRONT: JUL 28, 2020
PAL: AUG 08, 2020

MOVED TO CANADA (with work Visa): AUG 21, 2020

MEDICAL PASSED: OCT 5, 2020

From where did you check that your medical is PASSED???? Online status on CIC website? or you got an email?

Looks like we will get AOR in middle of next year and pr in 2023 . This is so frustrating they stopped issuing more Aor . There is huge backlogs of application now and this continues its important to get pr . Really depressed.

Well, If they still promise 18-20 month process in total for PR paper base, i wouldn't mind waiting. Because it's included AOR (18-20months start when AR i think) unless you do anything wrong to your paper.

I know everyone us in same boat but we need to have patience for paper based PR (not like express entry) and my advise to think in a positive way.

They will return the package if you did a mistake, forgot to sign a form, or to send any document.
If you carefully follow the application instruction guide, there is no way to make a mistake or forgot something... therefore, there is no reason to have it sent back. I reviewed all the package several times before sending it...

For consolation purpose....7 months for AoR,7 months for BIL & Medical closure,7 months on background,security and ADR ...7*3 gives 21 months.

What date you had applied your work visa ?

Does your NOC for PR visa is same as your work visa ?

I am Asking you that because i am thinking to follow you.

I applied for Work Visa in 5 of February, 2020. I had a really complicated situation, since I applied from Cyprus and we don't have VAC there I had to travel to another country to provide biometrics. I did it twice, for Work visa and for PR. Because My application was right about a time when all Covid restrictions started. Here is my time line for work visa:

Original Passport Request	March 2, 2020
Correspondence Letter	March 2, 2020
Biometrics Collection Letter	February 6, 2020
Submission Confirmation	February 5, 2020
Confirmation of Online Application Transmission	February 5, 2020

Of course my NOC is the same for the both applications.
