wanted to share my timeline and update.
December 2019 applicant, file transferred to LVO Feb 22 2020, AOR2 July 26.
Line #2 online changed few weeks ago to "we started processing your application on July 22 2020".
GC key status is at "we are processing your background check"

welcome and thanks for sharing! FYI, most Sep, Oct, and as well as Nov. and Dec. applicants got their AOR2 either July/August.

Possibly with the new announcement you should get the good news by the end of this year too as the IRCC is trying to clear their dusted collection of the files for 2018/2019 to start the year fresh in 2021. Way to go!

I just got this reply from my MP.....

• The application was received at the Central Intake Office in Sydney (CIO), Nova Scotia], on January 17, 2019.
• The initial assessment to ensure the sponsor meets all the sponsorship requirements was finalized on April 4, 2019.
• The responsible office is currently reviewing the application and documents submitted to determine if the sponsored person (the applicant) meets the eligibility requirements,
  • the assessment for the applicant is still in process at the Canadian visa office in London, U.K..
• The medical examination results have expired for the applicant.
• The criminality verifications are currently valid.
• The security verifications have not been initiated.

Are they going to be asking you to resubmit new medicals... did you ask the MP if there are going to be extending it? As far as i understand there are a few folks here that got their PPR without resubmitting second medicals.

I know people have been waiting longer then me, but does anyone know the amount of time after Aor2?

about 5 months - assuming everything goes well. The real waiting game/action starts right after AOR2!

Right now PIA and Turkish Airlines do not require test (even if going from Canada to Pak). A friend flew couple days ago without test, reached Pak.
Not sure about British Airways, or Qatar airways, check with travel agent or airline before you book.

Emirates and Etihad require the negative test result so best to avoid these airlines. Fly others who do not require it.

But 14-day quarantine plan is necessary when u arrive in Canada, if you dont have quaratine place, the govt officials at airport will arrange hotel for you to quarantine (meals and medicine will be provided as necessary).

but if you are coming to canada from pakistan then they ask you because they asked my husband who just aboard the plane at 6:50 am (pakistan time). they even asked him show our marriage certificate ( nikahama) and copy of my canadian passport.

I have some quries .i applied on jan 2019 , medical submitted on march 2019 and biometric on September 2019 ,after on December 2019 they requested me for additional document s but after that they haven't emailed me yet .what should i do now .we hired lawyer for this .i wanted to ask can i also send email to london visa office on belhf of myself cause my lawyer told me that my file is in London
