Hi, many people call this a "ghost update", it probably means they updated your file, but the update is not visible to you. It is a good sign, as it means that your file is moving forward. In some cases, people have gotten DM the next day. Good luck !!
Thank you! I am not expecting a DM actually, it is good enough for me to know someone is working on my file.
However, thanks for your explanation:) Good luck to you too!!

I think ECAS, you can ask IRCC via phone call or web form for details.
Thank You. Actually, the estimated processing remaining time shows 6 months left so am waiting patiently for some update from them. Also, the PPR is on hold for outland applicant due to travel restriction so it’s better to wait some time. Hope some applicant will make some positive update in coming days.

I just submitted my web form requesting to find the status of my application, it says submission was successful. But,unfortunately it says they'll revert me in 28 working days.
Is anyone in the forum who's file is with Hong Kong visa office? Is Hong Kong immigration services functional now? Could someone help in getting the Visa office number?

I just got a call from immigration office. My journey to become PR is over. So, hopefully whoever got the DM will get a phone call from immigration office soon.
Congrats & what was the number from which you received the call ?

ECAS Vs GCKey? Which one is more trust worthy?

ECAS was updated on 30th April to `Decision made` but when I Check GCKey (July) , it says only 70% complete (Review of eligibility under review , Back ground check under process & application under process for Final decision). :(
When did you send your file ?

Giving biometrics is more of a non citizen matter or for citizens to sponsor their non Canadian spouses or family members. This will be not be given priority in my opinion. Service Canada employees also protested that they cannot work in a non safe envionment some time back.

Towards the bottom of the article, it says Biometrics will not resume anytime soon. My only hope is Citizens who cannot sponsor their outland family or outland spouses is complaining on twitter to CIC, but those biometrics are in another country which might open. Inland biometrics I dont think so.
I have applied to renew my work permit, now stuck on biometrics :(
OK, seems like Canadian citizens are now affected by CIC processing delays. So we have hope. Canadian media has picked up the issue. Anti immigration rhetoric in the comments section are strong though :)

That is not a good sign, they will probably add one month on top.

This processing bar is just a toy, I don't know why so many people are taking it so seriously.
