My spouse has 2 study permit refusal in 2019 and in 2020 he also got SOWP refusal.
I have been approved for May intake 2020 in february and i defer to September 2020 and I am still here in india.
We applied for sowp in march and yesterday we got refusal on the following grounds:
You have been unable to adequately demonstrate that you meet the requirements of a
spousal open work permit under section 205(c)(ii) of the Regulations.
Though I know sowp is not guaranteed but may I know what other alternative is there if my spouse want to travel with me.
Should we go for VISITOR VISA next time or we should apply same SOWP only
Probably you need to wait until you get the study permit in hand? Sounds like there were missing documents, did it not require SP in required documents to upload?

I did not uploaded my study permit as I am currently here in india only and I deferred my program from may to September intake and will be going to canada if flights start operation from india.
So according to you Andy idea why they refused with this reason :
You have been unable to adequately demonstrate that you meet the requirements of a
spousal open work permit under section 205(c)(ii) of the Regulations.
Should my spouse apply for visitor visa next time or he should apply work permit only for reconsideration?
Please give advice/suggestions.
Also is SOWP also called as dependent visa or which visa called as dependent visa?

Do we also need anything else other than study permit in order to apply for SOWP ?
Like student Id or something else?
Also if we apply for Spouse visitor visa then also do we need study permit for applying or we can apply spouse visitor visa without study permit as well?
