Hi My parents application is in process since Feb 07 and no communications after that even have no idea about which visa office process their file, should I contact to follow up or its normal for now?
How to contact?
I haven't browsed this forum for a while since the covid-19 started, and it seems there is a new trend of PPR waived for parents who are already in Canada. Congratulations to all who have already received good news.
I have some questions about my parents' situation.
My parents are currently in Canada, and the resident address were in China. Their original flight back to our country was in Mid-June but due to the flight restriction, the flight has been cancelled and reassigned several times and now assigned to Mid-October (which is still not secured as the regulation keeps changing). I will have to extend their visa so that they could stay longer.
My questions are:
-Do I need to update their mailing address as they will definitely stay in Canada for more than 6 months in 2020?
-If so, should I email them or submit on the IRCC webform?
-If using the IRCC webform, I didn't use a Use of Representative form for my parents' application, which category is better for my situation?
a. Change of contact information (as the mailing address is changed)
b. Use of a representative
c. Sponsor parents outside of Canada
-How long in advance do I need to submit the application to extend the visa before it expires?
Important: If you are the applicant or authorized representative, you must provide following details with Email:
Your application number;
Surname and Given name(s);
Date of birth (YYYY-MM-DD);
Unique Client Identifier (UCI) number or Passport number;
I just received the GCMS record for my mum's application today. Under the Organization and Entities section, I saw a note was put there as "applications impacted by Coronavirus " and "Coronavirus 2020". I wonder what does that mean? Does it mean the application processing was paused on applications like my Mum's?
We submitted her application on May 29, and biometrics was done Nov 2019. She passed medical in March 2020.
