People with expired CoPRs in India, should we raise webform that we can fly? Vandebharat mission flights are allowing CoPRs to board and normal International flights are not going to resume atleast till July. Any suggestions, if we should raise webform now or not. IRCC will also take time for extension.
For expired COPRs and counterfoil, I believe when you inform IRCC that you are ready to travel then you would require to have a new counterfoil and re-issuance of COPR document which will be issued by VAC. Visa offices in India are closed at the moment not sure about other countries. You will have to resend your passports for stamping and I heard this time they will sanitise your documents before they receive it (COVID19 aftereffects).. which may further delay the process. So no point in informing IRCC with repat flights. I would recommend when the flights are fully operational then its the best time..
Is there any UAE resident who wants to travel to canada for landing and plan to return back to UAE?
Though flights are available for both inbound and outbound, it requires approval from MOFAIC.. to travel back to UAE..
Also, did anyone so far get the sure steps for COPR extension?
If we are sure enough, I would prefer to delay my landing and would plan for my permanent move once things are better.. dont want to take any chances with my Kid, specially!!
Just a query, after landing everyone is supposed to go for a 14-day self quarantine, so how were you able to apply for a SIN online? I mean it does require you to add a Proof of Address, how were you able to get that?
We invite you to consult our website regularly. It will be updated as the situation evolves.

Right.I think high commission of canada in delhi knows the situation and they are well aware of vac closures etc.So I don't think they will ask anyone to submit passports right now.I tweeted them yesterday that if we want to board the special flights for Canada we need to renew our copr.So kindly start the process so that we can board the flights as they are made available. But they sent the same message that if your counterfoil expires prior to start if commercial flights you do not need to mail us .We will contact you once FULL SERVICES RESUME.Now by services they can mean by their office as well as vac etc.
My brother went to airline office in chandigarh India. The staff informed airlines are full.
Could you please help how to apply for tickets through net or do v need to contact some embassy first.
Thanks
I have a flight from delhi to toronto on 24th but my final destination would be montreal. Has anyone taken a connecting flight during the covid times? Will they allow me to take a connecting flight?
Hi, can anybody please help me figure out if we can take uber/cab from the airport to airbnb in toronto after landing? I will be taking one of the air india flights soon and need to prepare accordingly as this is going to be my first landing in Canada.
No need to go to the embassy. You can go directly to airindia.in and try to book a flight. But I think all the flights to Canada are sold out now. You can keep looking if someone cancels, you might get lucky.
Just an update,
Landed yesterday from US (JFK to YYZ).
Boarding - it was smooth, airlines agent did not even checked my PRTD or COPR, just checked my ID page of paper and issues boarding passes.
@ Toronto - landing was smooth. I was the only one in immigration office. Immigration competed in 10 minutes. Customs took time (around 25 mins) to process goods to follow list due to some system issue.
Service Canada is closed, so no SIN at airport or outside.
Rented a car, went straight to hotel with a stop for online grocery pickup at Walmart.

Hi @FJK1982
When are you planning to travel? Emirates has announced that they are starting scheduled flights to Toronto from 21st May. But for passengers who intend to return to UAE, they need to get an approval from ICA to board the plane.
For those with a one-way outbound ticket from UAE, don't need ICA approval
