What's rhe deadline given by cic for your parents to enter Canada? Is it one year from medical-passed?

My parents application is in process since Feb 07 and no communications after that. They are coming to Canada next week and I asked them to obtain their PCC before leaving the home country, now my question is:
Can I submit their PCC before receiving any email or instruction as it's only valid for a month? If yes how?

Will CIC send my mother a copy of the COPR? or just use the Counterfoil on her passport to enter Canada?(she does have a 10yr TRV)

Glad that so many good news and progress going on PGP 2019. Hope everyone will be reunited soon with their Parents and Grand parents.

I am in dilemma because of this Coronovirus situation... anybody doing early landing procedure for parents?our original plan of landing scheduled on July. But seems like need to call them early, you never know.Anybody on same boats, suggestions about trip cancellation insurance , formalities at airport in YYZ. Give some insights please.

My father's passport has been renewed while his PGP 2019 application is in progress.

How should I notify CIC of new passport? - Should I send them copy of passport via mail (along with a cover letter) or upload it through his online account with details (assuming there is one)?

• February 28, 2020 Your application was approved"

the passport return envelope hasn't been activate yet on Canada post.

They will send the COPR to the PA through the mail, this is needed to land and become PR.

quick question - my parents file is in process, medical, PCC and bio are done; yesterday, I received a letter from CIC informing that my parents will receive pre-arrival services offered by the Canadian Government. The letter is not addressed to me or my parents, just have my father’s UCI number.
Does this letter indicate that my parents file is approved or is it just a generic letter?

Pre arrival letter is a good sign. It means they have passed eligibility.

All depends what is going on with her PGP. Applying for supervisa can take a month or two. You maybe in a position to just get COPR. If not yes you should apply for a supervisa after your mother gets a new passport.

We are stuck in "in progress" since Septembber, file is in Mexico. I better renew her passport now and apply for the extension - we are already at the 3 month mark for her trip... Thanks!

Hi, we are not able to track yet. Hope next week they can send the passport back
