Today I got Pre Arrival services letter, any idea how long it will take to get pre-arrival?

Nothing to worry about. When I called CIC, that agent told me that my file was transferred to NDVO on October 09 and they have sent an email. My representative said the same thing that he didn’t receive any email. But 2 days ago I could see line 2 added to my ECAS. So, NDVO will eventually accept your file and you will see line 2 added to your ECAS as well. They are closed on Monday, so maybe Tuesday or Wednesday is your day.

Did you get any update from NDVO?

Hi, Anyone here whose file was transferred to NDVO around 05th November and hasn’t got any update on ECAS or GcKey.. My file was transferred on 5th but no updates whatsoever.

My file also transferred to NDVO on Nov 5 , no updates since then. At least AOR2 would help now, unfortunately even that didnt happen

My husband had interview requested for 30th October .the mail was received on 12th sep
Later on 18th sep NDVO called & said interview is no longer required. Afterwards no update on file.
My file was transferred on 22nd Aug to ndvo.

Means the eligibility is complete . I am in the same situation . I received pre-arrival but my background is not yet completed.

Wat does Background include as a whole beside eligibility..

Finally got the line added in ECAS. They started processing the application on Nov 15th. The file was transferred on Nov 5th.

Why do files get transferred to NDVO? and not go straight to CPC - Mississauga?

Applying PR for wife end of the month... is there something I need to be careful of?

As I see it's taking more than 6-8 months from NDVO. CPC-M is processing within 4 months.

Majority of files are processed in applicant's local visa office … due to the work load in NDVO, some straight forward cases are quickly processed in Mississauga, while a lot more files end up in NDVO. It may take up to 1 year they say.
My file was initially transferred to CPC-Mississauga, but then forwarded to NDVO after 1.5 months. This happened to many other applicants as well. No idea why the immigration officers forward files from Mississauga to NDVO. People say its for double clarification if they have some doubt. But my file was pretty straight forward. I am way beyond frustrated as the wait times at NDVO are unbearable.

thank you... i guess it's just luck of draw... if you're fortunate your case gets processed at CPC-M and i've seen some get approvals within 2 months...
