Same here, May 29, stuck IP, super frustrating as people before and after me are getting approvals. I called IRCC but they refuse to say what's going on, they say they don't have access to notes which I find hard to believe, all they say is that it's still within timeframes.

I'm two weeks ahead of you and I'm still in process as well, there are many of us who are. The fact is, there's nothing we can do but wait our turn. Yes, it's frustrating but you're only adding unnecessary stress to yourself.

Sorry for my ignorance as I haven't been following the forum lately... What's a ghost update?!?

When you log in on myCIC, on the main page where it says “submitted” it will say “application profile updated” however when you logout and log back in, it will revert to “submitted”...

This has been coined as “Ghost Update”...

If you see this happen someday on myCIC expect ecas update will follow next day.

Btw- somehow when I clicked on the tracker now- it took me to old version (excel based) and I am so happy for that. The new one was not easy to follow.

Hi. Can anyone tell me if biometric request letter comes in email or mycic?

I had made an account for my mom but I forgot both username and password. When I received the SA I wanted to login to check myCIC too but couldn't so had to make a new account and linked the application again. I'm worried about the biometric letter being lost in this new account making process if it supposed to show up in MyCIC.

Oh wow, how long has it been since you sent them?

Sent them on the 6th Nov, received in Ottawa on 7th Nov. Pretty quick turnaround.

Thank you. Maybe I should call and confirm from them if they sent one out to me because I don't see it in the account. It doesn't say that biometrics is required yet so chances are I haven't received the letter yet.

Hi,
I just got similar letter 10 mins ago. In it it says PCCs including from Canada to send original copies to "this office in one envelope."
The email IS legit. I have dealt with Singapore Immigration via this email a couple of times recently.
On the safe side, I intend to send the document request via this email too.

I got confused since I checked on the Canadian government website and got a similar email address for this visa office but without the word "immigration" in it. It could just be an address for general inquiries.
I will send the documents via email as well

guys - question if there is any communication from CIC do they send message to PA account or do they send official letter to PA address .

like if they need a new updated form - will they send message in my account or send official letter to address of the PA.

Please answer - i am getting very worried what if some form is missing and they communicated via letter to my mother address in India.

and there is no one to collect that letter as she is with me in Canada

Did you provide them an email address in your application? If you did then all communication will be sent electronically to that email, especially if you are their representative.
MyGC account is also quite accurate, the panel will indicate if there is any message/mail sent to you and include an electronic version there as well.
