I am going to apply for my spouse for permanent residence. While he is now living with me in Canada (using visitor status), he will leave in Jan 2020 due to expiry of visa. So should I apply under the "Family Class" or "Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada Class"?
Sorry, I don't get it. Does it mean "Family Class"? The reason I asked is because for the "Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada Class", it said my spouse has to stay in Canada throughout the application period. However, as the process could take 1 year's time and my husband could not stay in Canada for 1 year with his current passport. So he will definitely leave Canada within the 1 year's period.
He can only apply for the Open Work Permit as part of the "in Canada" class. He would then have implied status waiting on the OWP decision and would not need to leave Canada.
He would be required to pay $255 for the work permit fees.

1. If I am now in Canada and I would like to submit "inland application" and OWP application, do I have to apply for extension of stay/visa in Canada too?
2. If the OWP is approved, do I have to apply for extension of stay as well? Usually, how long does OWP last?

1. How is this OWP presented? Some additional paper to be sticked on my passport? or just a piece of cert?
2. Would there be any negative impact if I have to leave for a short term during the OWP application period?
3. Do I need a OWP if I start a business instead?

I understand that if my sponsorship under family plan is approved, I can relocate my physical assets from homeland to Canada without import tax. Is it same for OWP case?
