Hello guys
I have one question if anyone can answer it, it would be appreciated
I have applied for pgp2019 and i m expecting biometrics for my parents. My mom is in canada now and dad is in india. If i get biometrics request, what are the steps for my MOM’s biometrics.
she doesn’t have US Visa. Can I apply for exemption for her or she have to go back to india for biometrics?
I have PCC to upload from Saudi Arabia for my parents it was issued when they left the country last year. What is the expiry date I should write while uploading the document online at GCkey ?
Indian PCC was issued last week, so idk , they don’t have expiry dates. I have two upload files button on gckey, one upload is for Saudi pcc and other is for Indian PCC ? and all pcc for mom and dad should be attached in one PDF ? Please advise ?
There is no info regarding my file on tracker. I follow this page very late.

I don't think so they will exempt the biometrics.. I went through same situation.. I asked them in advance on call centre and they advised me that there is less probability to exempt biometrics if during the application submission their living address is not in Canada.. so after that I applied the US visa and I got an appointment at Calgary US visa office after 2 weeks.. got US visa approved .. and at the same time got a email from CIC to submit biometrics.. Went to the US to do biometrics and took only 15 minutes at USCIS application centre for biometrics.. And Yes there is an option to extend the deadline from 30 days to upto the date visa officers decides and it is done by contacting them through webform and explaining them about situation
Hi there, my situation/timing is the same. Application package delivered to CIC on 25 June but so far no AOR. I contacted IRCC phone agents last week and was told that they have the application package and is in status of "Prospective", which means they have not yet reviewed the documents to assess if the application is acceptable for processing. I hope we both receive AoR in near future.
I am not sure about how many files they are processing. But looking at the previous years it seems like most of the files were processed in 12-16 months period with odd exceptions taking 24 months. I think the reason for slow down is to make sure they don't get too much ahead. Also, I believe the process will pick up again in January.
