Does the election have any affects on immigration?

We are Jan 7th applicant and still no biometrics from the Paris VO.... medical was done before transfer in March. It has been silent since March 15th after ECAS showed "started processing".

Our case seems similar. U should be getting Biometrics instructions anytime now. Where are you residing?

Our dates are very similar from application recieved till medical recieved. But there is nothing after on my online account. May be it would have been there if i had Gckey account. But i recieved bio matric instructions on friday.

Are you also a Tunisian applicant and your file is at the Paris VO? I hope so, thank you. It seems to be hard to tell when an dmy patience is strong but sometimes it isn't haha.

No, I am Pakistani residing in UAE. Not sure which is my VO. And dont know how to check.
But yeah its been game of patience. Had nt heard anything till friday so was worried. But atleast there is an update now. Hope it will come fr ur as well and we get it asap

Ah okay. Did you receive an email saying that your file was transferred out of Sydney? That is when they send it from Sydney to the VO that handles the rest of the application. Also, did biometrics come in an email or on GCKEY? And thank you I really hope so too. I hope this suffering ends soon for all of us still waiting.

I applied through representative. He forwarded me email for Biometrics. I did nt receive any email about file transfer. May be my representative had. But he had nt forwarded me..

This is close to how our timeline looked just got our interview email 5 days ago (different vo). Cross fingers itll be anytime soon

Anyone get transferred to Mexico City?

One of the Nov 30/18 applicants got her file transferred to Mexico City on Sept 3/19. So there is hope but that office is very busy and backlogged so it's slow going. We're waiting patiently too, heard nothing since May 28th!

Do you mean does the election itself influence your application ... I wouldn't think it should.

However, if the government changes parties as a result of the election, their policies about immigration could certainly change and influence applications. The comforting part is that our applications are already in the system, so it's not likely any policies they change would affect ours ... hopefully anyway. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

Anyone here waiting for file transfer but already has an AOR2 updated line on ecas saying we started processing ur file under PA side ? called cic was told file is still at sydney though n its been 2 weeks since we got that line

Well I am not too sure either but have been hearing from people it might have bad affects for Middle East people just wanted to confirm

hi i see u r a jan applicant from pakistan ..i saw 23rd jan applicant from pk got file transfer email today n even a feb 11 2019 applicant also from pk got file transfer u should ask ur rep if he got an email
