Hello everyone,

My application reached on 3rd June. Ecas was updated about 10 days ago and it shows the status - Application received. However, I have not received any email with AOR yet. Anyone in the same boat? I am a bit concerned as it seems June 3 applicants already received their AORs. Also, when I try to link my application in myCIC, it is not able to find the application information.

1- When you asked for biometrics extension time, did they extend the medical time as well without you asking?
My medical came same time as my biometrics letter so they both have the same due date. I wonder if asking for biometrics time will change the medical due date as well or not?

2- What did you mention in your request did you mention how much further time you need or just a general extension request?
I already asked for extension once and asked for two months extra time but the response was irrelevant they just answered that bio should be done outside of Canada! So i'm looking for you yo see how and what i should draft.

Please let me know your experience.

When we check cic’s website for police certificates, there is an option to chose the country.

Certification of an extract from the Register of Convictions by the Federal Chancellery

Certification is necessary if the extract is required by a foreign authority or an embassy (e.g. for a visa).


They say that we should check with the foreign authority, but of course nobody at IRCC call center knows the answer

No you can't because the swiss site says that you should contact the foreign govt and ask if they require an attested version

2. You need more time to arrange it. If they are here (I am assuming), say you have to make a travel plan for them and requested for a 30 days (or 60 days) extension.

You submitted your application with ON Address and move to BC from ON. change your new address one you get AoR.

Ask them on the twitter, sometimes answers on twitter aren’t that reliable (same with the call centre).
And try to search in different threads on this forum also, may be someone could share a similar experience.

Hi Everyone!

Asking for a friend. She's sponsoring her mom who is in Canada under super visa. She's had the medical done and hoping that processing goes smoothly & fast that they'll get the PR by end of the year? But she will be 2 years staying in Canada by Dec. Should she apply for extension of stay, exit Canada or just hope that she gets the PR by then? Appreciate your insights. Thanks!
